Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Case Reports

Case Reports and Case Series in Cardiology Journal welcomes submissions of Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) Case Reports that demonstrate the clinical value of OCT in diagnosing coronary artery disease, guiding complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), evaluating plaque morphology, optimizing stent implantation, and managing challenging cardiovascular cases. This section provides an international platform for interventional cardiologists, cardiovascular imaging specialists, and researchers to share innovative imaging applications and important clinical experiences.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is a high-resolution intracoronary imaging modality that enables detailed visualization of coronary vessel anatomy, plaque characteristics, stent expansion, and vascular healing. Compared with conventional angiography, OCT provides superior image resolution, allowing precise assessment of fibrous caps, thrombus, calcium burden, stent malapposition, edge dissections, and neointimal proliferation. OCT-guided PCI has become an essential tool for optimizing procedural outcomes and improving patient care in complex coronary interventions.

We encourage the submission of original case reports, case series, clinical images, and procedural videos highlighting novel OCT findings, challenging interventions, rare coronary pathologies, and long-term clinical outcomes.
