Case Reports and Case Series in Cardiology Journal invites the submission of Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) Case Reports that highlight the use of IVUS in diagnosing coronary artery disease, guiding complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI), optimizing stent deployment, and managing challenging cardiovascular conditions. This section provides an international platform for interventional cardiologists, cardiovascular imaging specialists, and researchers to share clinically important cases that improve patient care and procedural outcomes.
Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS) is a high-resolution intracoronary imaging modality that enables detailed visualization of the vessel wall, plaque morphology, lumen dimensions, calcium distribution, and stent expansion. IVUS-guided interventions have become an essential component of modern interventional cardiology, particularly in complex coronary lesions, left main disease, bifurcation lesions, chronic total occlusions (CTO), and heavily calcified arteries.
We encourage the submission of original case reports, case series, clinical images, and procedural videos demonstrating innovative applications of IVUS, difficult interventions, rare findings, and long-term clinical outcomes.
