Case Reports and Case Series in Cardiology Journal welcomes the submission of Coronary Microvascular Disease Case Reports describing rare presentations, challenging diagnoses, innovative treatment strategies, and long-term clinical outcomes related to coronary microvascular dysfunction (CMD). The journal provides an international platform for cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiovascular imaging specialists, and researchers to share clinically significant cases that improve the understanding and management of coronary microvascular disease.
Coronary Microvascular Disease (CMD), also referred to as Coronary Microvascular Dysfunction, affects the small coronary vessels and may cause myocardial ischemia despite the absence of obstructive epicardial coronary artery disease. Patients often present with persistent angina, ischemia with non-obstructive coronary arteries (INOCA), or microvascular angina, making diagnosis and management particularly challenging.
We encourage the submission of high-quality case reports and case series highlighting novel diagnostic approaches, multimodality cardiovascular imaging, coronary physiology assessment, pharmacological therapies, interventional management, and multidisciplinary care.
