Cardiac Disease Case Reports

Cardiac Disease Case Reports is a focused section of the Case Reports and Case Series in Cardiology Journal dedicated to publishing high-quality case reports and case series on a wide spectrum of cardiac diseases. Cardiac diseases include a variety of structural, functional, congenital, and acquired heart conditions, which may occur individually or in combination.

This section highlights clinically significant and educational cases involving common and rare cardiac disorders, emphasizing diagnostic challenges, management strategies, and patient outcomes.

Commonly reported cardiac diseases include, but are not limited to:

  • Septal defects, where abnormal openings exist between two chambers of the heart

  • Coarctation of the aorta, characterized by narrowing of the aorta that restricts blood flow from the heart to the body

  • Pulmonary valve stenosis, in which narrowing of the pulmonary valve obstructs blood flow from the right ventricle to the lungs

  • Transposition of the great arteries, where the aorta and pulmonary artery arise from the wrong ventricles

  • Underdeveloped or hypoplastic heart structures, where incomplete development of cardiac chambers or valves impairs effective circulation

The Cardiac Disease Case Reports section welcomes submissions covering congenital heart disease, acquired cardiac disorders, complex anatomical variations, and rare clinical presentations that contribute to improved understanding and clinical practice in cardiology.
