Pacemaker Complications Case Reports
Permanent pacemaker implantation is a life-saving intervention for patients with bradyarrhythmias, conduction disorders, and advanced atrioventricular block. However, pacemaker therapy may be associated with a variety of clinically significant complications that require prompt diagnosis and specialized management. Case Reports and Case Series in Cardiology Journal welcomes submissions of pacemaker complications case reports and case series that highlight rare presentations, procedural challenges, device-related adverse events, and long-term clinical outcomes.
This dedicated section focuses on clinically important complications related to lead position, device pocket, electrical malfunction, infection, and delayed adverse events. Published reports support cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and cardiac care teams with practical case-based learning.
We invite manuscripts covering:
-
Lead dislodgement case reports
-
Atrial and ventricular lead migration
-
Pacemaker pocket infection
-
Device erosion and skin breakdown
-
Lead fracture and insulation failure
-
Cardiac perforation due to lead displacement
-
Hematoma and pocket bleeding
-
Pacemaker syndrome cases
-
Device malfunction and sensing failure
-
Pacemaker-induced arrhythmia
-
Delayed device complications
-
Long-term follow-up case series
Recent published case reports describe delayed lead dislodgement causing heart failure symptoms, cardiac perforation, and device-related endocarditis, reinforcing the educational value of such reports.
