Case Reports in Cardiovascular Pharmacology

Case Reports in Cardiovascular Pharmacology is a dedicated section of our journal that publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed clinical case reports focusing on the pharmacological management of cardiovascular diseases. This section emphasizes real-world clinical experiences related to drug therapy, adverse drug reactions, drug–drug interactions, and individualized pharmacological decision-making in cardiovascular care.

The aim of this section is to enhance understanding of cardiovascular drug efficacy, safety, and optimization, particularly in complex or high-risk patient populations.

Scope of the Section

This section welcomes case reports covering, but not limited to, the following areas:

  • Pharmacological management of cardiovascular diseases

  • Antiplatelet, anticoagulant, and thrombolytic therapies

  • Antiarrhythmic and heart failure pharmacotherapy

  • Antihypertensive and lipid-lowering agents

  • Drug–drug and drug–disease interactions in cardiology

  • Adverse cardiovascular drug reactions and toxicity

  • Novel or off-label use of cardiovascular medications

  • Pharmacogenomics and personalized cardiovascular therapy

  • Polypharmacy and medication optimization

  • Cardiovascular effects of non-cardiac drugs

Article Types Accepted

  • Clinical case reports

  • Drug safety and adverse reaction case reports

  • Therapeutic decision-making case studies

  • Pharmacology-focused cardiovascular cases

  • Image-supported or ECG-based pharmacological cases

Peer Review and Ethics

All submissions undergo a comprehensive editorial screening and peer-review process to ensure scientific accuracy, clinical relevance, and educational value. Authors must adhere to international ethical standards, including informed patient consent and disclosure of drug-related information.

Educational and Clinical Value

This section is intended to benefit:

  • Cardiologists and clinical pharmacologists

  • Internists and hospital physicians

  • Cardiology and pharmacology trainees

  • Researchers in cardiovascular drug development

  • Healthcare professionals involved in medication management
